Founded in 2004 by Robert Helfgott, College Film Tour (CFT) is an organization dedicated to making great independent cinema accessible to a larger audience. College Film Tour targets college campuses and their surrounding communities, providing them with quality independent films to increase their exposure to both the medium as well as some of the up-and-coming filmmakers in our program.
Our feature event is College Film Tour's Film Festival program. Through this program, our goals are to create a successful on campus film festival event, establish a strong and cohesive campus-wide organization for our host organization(s), and create a nation-wide film community under College Film Tour to facilitate campus-to-campus communication. Our hope is, by accomplishing these goals, all host schools can band together to create one large alternative distribution chain for worthwhile cinema that may otherwise be overlooked.
